Robbie the French Bulldog looking up beside his custom blue Pets Delight birthday cake that says Robbie is 3

Cake from Pets Delight. Robbie turns 3.

A custom duck birthday cake, a French Bulldog turning three, and a bakery that actually listens on WhatsApp.

Robbie turned three, and that felt like the right kind of excuse for a proper celebration — not just a treat from the pantry, but a real custom cake. We ordered from Pets Delight Bakery again, and the box arrived tied up with a pale pink “Just for you” ribbon, gold lettering on the lid, and a little window showing the frosting swirls inside. Robbie stared up at it like he already knew the party was his.

Ordering was easy

The ordering process itself is quite easy. We picked the cake, chose the details, and moved through checkout without much friction. For the flavour, we went with duck because Titan couldn’t eat pork. That one choice mattered — it meant both dogs could be part of the celebration without compromise.

This is the second time we’ve ordered from Pets Delight, and the experience still feels personal rather than industrial. You’re not just buying a generic pet treat; you’re asking someone to put a face, a name, and a number on a cake.

WhatsApp service that actually helps

Where Pets Delight really stands out is the human side. I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask for an earlier delivery window, and they accommodated it. No runaround, no “sorry, system says no” — just a practical yes.

There was also a small website hiccup worth mentioning. While making the order, something on the site added the cake to cart directly and skipped the customization step. I fed that back through WhatsApp, and they said they would look into it. That kind of response matters. Good bakeries bake well; great ones listen when something on the site breaks the flow.

The cake itself

The cake looked every bit the birthday centrepiece: soft blue frosting, a thick white piped border, tiny paw prints, and Robbie’s face rendered right on top beside the words Robbie is 3! When we set it down, both Frenchies locked on — the kind of focused silence that only happens when something delicious has entered the room.

Would we order again?

Yes. Between the easy ordering, the duck option for Titan, the flexible delivery change, and the willingness to take website feedback seriously, Pets Delight feels like a bakery we’ll keep coming back to. Robbie is three. The cake said so. And if the next birthday needs another custom topper and another WhatsApp tweak, I already know who I’m messaging.
